Taylor Walton Solicitors celebrates recent promotions and to mark these successes plants over 100 trees across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

As part of our continued sustainability efforts and as a way of celebrating our culture of growing, developing and investing in our people, we have planted over 100 trees across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

We are proud to announce that Shalina Patel has been promoted to Partner and Toby Walker, Reghbinder Kaur Deol, James Cheshire, Heather Canning, Jeremy Mitchell, Maggie Kerr, Katarina Morgan and Stephanie Alexander continue to progress their legal careers achieving Associate status.

The promotions reflect their substantial contribution to the growth, success and the reputation of Taylor Walton and their continued dedication to colleagues and clients.

For many years, we have offered a select number of top students the opportunity to participate in our summer placement scheme. This gives individuals the chance to experience work in both a commercial department and one of our private client departments. Testament to the scheme are James Cheshire, Toby Walker and Stephanie Alexander who all joined us for the summer scheme in previous years before embarking on their Taylor Walton training contracts and qualifying with us as solicitors.

Shalina Patel, newly promoted Partner from the firm’s Residential Conveyancing team in St Albans said “I am proud to be part of the amazing team at Taylor Walton – I am delighted to continue my career progression at the firm as a Salaried Partner. Throughout my years at the firm, I have been hugely supported, which has enabled me to continue to develop both personally and professionally. I am looking forward to a bright and promising future continuing to contribute to the firm’s success.”

Reghbinder Kaur Deol from our Commercial Property department said “Having spent over a decade at a London City firm it was a big move to come out of the City but one which has been great.  The quality of work has been excellent at Taylor Walton and the Commercial Property team are lovely to work with as is the firm as a whole.  I am pleased to have been promoted to Associate and look forward to developing my career at Taylor Walton.”

Stephanie Alexander, Associate, from the Harpenden residential department said “My career with Taylor Walton began in September 2013 after enjoying a placement on the firm’s summer vacation scheme. I completed my training contract and qualified as a Solicitor in March 2018. For me, Taylor Walton is a home from home and I am looking forward to furthering my career here for years to come.”

James Cheshire, Associate, from the firm’s Commercial Property department said “I am delighted to have been awarded the title of Associate. Having trained and qualified at the firm, the Associate title is an exciting new chapter of what has to date been a brilliant experience. I am fortunate to work as part of a fantastic Commercial Property team of and I look forward to continuing my career development and progression at the firm alongside them.”

Toby Walker, Associate, Corporate & Commercial said “Having firstly joined TW as a summer vacation scheme student and then as a trainee solicitor, I am grateful of the support TW has provided to me throughout my career so far. I am excited to take on the role of Associate and look forward to further continuing to grow alongside TW”.

Maggie Kerr, Associate, Property Litigation said “I am very pleased to be made an Associate at Taylor Walton. I have been with Taylor Walton since June 2021 and enjoy the high level of work that we receive from clients. I love the fact that the Commercial Litigation Team all work together to achieve the best for the client and each other. We are expanding due to the amount of work we have and I am looking forward to the challenges in the next year.”

Managing Partner, Dermot Carey said “We take great pride in growing and developing our team here at TW, it is an honour to see such talented individuals continue to grow and progress in their careers and make substantial contributions to the success of the Firm.”
