TW Community

Alongside our client-centric ethos, we also understand the importance of enjoying where you work and getting to know your team – we all appreciate some downtime with colleagues.

We have several initiatives and opportunities which do just that!

To celebrate National Walking Month in May, we had over 55 of our team dust off their trainers and get outside for a steps challenge. Collectively, we did 21,438,813 steps!

Our team got dressed up for the annual Herts Law Society dinner, and were over the moon to take home ‘Law Firm of the Year’! A special well done to Alisha as well for being awarded joint highest marks in the SQE1.

A group of TW staff headed out to the St George’s Day celebrations, hosted by St Albans District Chamber of Commerce. A brilliant opportunity to unwind after a busy week!

We paired up with local accountants for a fun-filled evening of bingo, food and drinks. A competitive night we’re sure!

In March, the team had a chance to show off their artistic skills in our painting lunches. There were some seriously skilled artists in the room!

Our trainees and NQs recently attended the Young Chamber Wine & Cheese night. It was a great opportunity to mingle, and try some delicious new wines, all under £10!

Our trainees, paralegals and newly qualified solicitors had a great time getting into the festive spirit at the Hertfordshire Junior Lawyers Division Christmas Event. A great opportunity to relax and network with others in the field.

For Christmas Jumper day, all 3 of our offices dug out their very best festive jumpers to raise money for our 3 charities, The Harpenden Trust, Earthworks St Albans and NOAH Enterprise.

Our trainees host the annual TW quiz night, which is always a big hit with the team, featuring food, prizes and plenty of competitiveness. This year over £625 was raised for our office charities on the raffle!

Our Luton Charity Champions hosted a Harvest Festival where staff cooked, baked, and grew all sorts of goodies to sell in aid of NOAH. The best creations even won prizes, and over £300 was raised!

We have a TW Football club which meets every Tuesday evening to play at a local pitch. We often meet with other businesses for a 5-a-side match.

Our Summer Placement students and trainees enjoyed an evening at a local escape room.

Every other month we get together across each office and enjoy pastries and fruit together – if we are celebrating we add in some prosecco!
Its a great way to socialise with colleagues, catch up and start the day.

A selection of drinks, pastries and fruit

In the summer we enjoyed several cricket matches at a local pitch -we joined forces with other businesses we know for an evening of food and cricket.

Our teams enjoy getting out and networking through different Chambers of Commerce & other organisations.

In support of #mentalhealthawarenessweek2023, we headed out to the countryside & walked ‘The Greensand Ridge Walk’. It was amazing to see over 50 of our TW Team + friends & family across both days – walking or running the whole 64k, or joining for chunks in between (not forgetting the pub finish). We were proud to support & fundraise for two amazing mental health charities – Mind in Mid Herts & Mind BLMK.

Rounders in the park enjoyed by everyone, not just the players.

Our junior lawyers/solicitors/trainees/paralegals are encouraged to get out networking to meet like-minded young professionals in the region.
