Our summer placement is a fantastic opportunity to experience work in the firm as a student trainee solicitor. The structured placement takes place for two weeks in July each year. 

The placement is designed for those in their penultimate year of their degree and those looking to secure a training contract with us commencing at our next intake. We aim to offer you the opportunity to experience work in both a commercial department and one of our private client departments. If successful in your application, you can expect to be involved in research tasks, attend client meetings and court, practice drafting skills and work alongside experienced fee earners on genuine client matters in a supervised and supportive environment.

We provide excellent opportunities to enhance your team working skills by working with fellow summer students on a case study considering issues facing the legal market. You will also meet Partners and Associates, hear about their journey into law and their professional career highlights, as well as work closely and socialise with our trainee solicitors.

To apply you must be:

• available to attend the programme Monday 20 – Friday 31 July and
• able to start a training contract in September 2028.  You must make your training contract application at the same time as your summer placement application.
